Article 370 Movie Review: There’s a new movie called Article 370 with actors Yami Gautam and Priyamani. It talks about the time when a special rule (Article 370) for Jammu and Kashmir was cancelled. This special rule had been there since 1947, and the movie tries to explain why it was removed.
If you kinda know about Article 370 but don’t really get why it’s a big deal, this 2.5-hour film tries to make it easy for you. It tells the story without using too much complicated stuff and keeps you interested.
Story
The movie doesn’t just tell events, but also explains why the government decided to cancel J&K’s special rule. It doesn’t rely on typical patriotic things but tells the story in a strong way. The people who wrote the movie, Aditya Dhar and Monal Thaakar, let the story be the main focus, even though some actors do a great job.
The film is split into six parts, like a history book. It talks about the tough times in Kashmir between 2015 and 2019. It shows how the people in power kept betraying Kashmir, letting things get bad to stay in charge. They influenced young people to throw stones and demand ‘Azaadi.’ The movie is ‘inspired’ by true events, and you might notice that the leaders in the film look like Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, but not in a good way.
This movie is essential to watch if you want to understand what happened in Kashmir and how removing Article 370 helped bring peace and punish the bad guys.
